GETTING TO GUANAJA

The best and easiest route to Guanaja Island (GJA) is to fly into Roatan, Honduras (RTB). Most flights originate from Miami, Houston, Atlanta, New York and Los Angeles.

ARRIVAL:

Major airlines providing service to Roatan (RTB) are United, American Airlines, Delta, Cayman Airlines & Avianca. It is important to arrive on Roatan before 2:30pm allowing ample time to clear immigration and customs and make the connecting flight on LANHSA Airlines. Schedules both on Roatan and Guanaja are fluid and can change without notice. Variable changes due to adverse weather, flight arrival times and other unforeseen changes are possible. R/T flights from Roatan-Guanaja-Roatan are approx. $200 per person. You can book these on line or our concierge service will gladly make the reservations for you and add it to your trip invoice free of charge. There is a $4.00 USD tax that passengers will pay before departure for domestic flights.

Once you arrive in Roatan you will collect your bags and clear customs & immigration then proceed into the main terminal. You will check on at the designated airline counter, check your bags and collect your boarding pass to the Guanaja Island connecting flight. This flight is short approximately 30 minutes.

Upon your arrival on Guanaja you will be met by one of the End of the World’s customer representatives and transported to the resort by boat.

Guests may also choose to fly into the Honduran gateway city of San Pedro Sula and connect with the afternoon flight that takes you through La Ceiba and on to Guanaja Island. Returning home from Guanaja Island to San Pedro Sula usually requires and overnight in either La Ceiba or San Pedro Sula. The End of the World Concierge will happily make all of your reservations for hotel stay, private transportation & sight-seeing as well. Airlines that offer services into San Pedro Sula (SAP) are: Delta, United, American Airlines, Aeromexico, Spirit and Avianca. Domestic connections are serviced by LANHSA Airlines. 

DEPARTURE:

Flights from Guanaja (GJA) TO Roatan (RTB) and La Ceiba depart in the morning and arrive around noon to make your international connections. The End of the World Resort will provide transportation back to the Guanaja airport.  If you decide to extend your trip and want to explore the mainland’s parks, rainforest, river trips or the Mayan Ruins at Copan we can assist you.

 

SPECIALTY TRAVEL TO GUANAJA:

Charter flights to and from Guanaja, Roatan, La Ceiba and San Pedro Sula can be arranged as well as transportation via boat to Roatan. If you have a groups of 3, 4-5 passengers. It’s a great reliable alternative giving traveler’s flexibility at reasonable prices. You can decide exactly when you arrive and depart.   • WHAT DOCUMENTS DO I NEED TO TRAVEL TO GUANAJA?

A valid passport is all that is required for US/Canadian citizens. Check with your travel agent or Honduran consulate to see if a visa is required for other nationalities. Passports must have at least six months validation beyond your travel dates.

  • HOW FAR IS THE END OF THE WORLD FROM THE GUANAJA AIRPORT?

An exciting 15 minute boat ride from the Guanaja airport.
